The night before the kids' fishing derby. The boys have been practicing casting all day. They're getting one last practice in before bed!! This is going to be their very first time fishing!
Noah is all settled in and ready to go!
Papoo is helping Wyatt get ready.

This is too hilarious! He caught a fish skeleton!
He said, "Mommy, I don't like this."
He didn't end up catching anything else that morning.
But we went back that night to watch the fireworks. And while we waited for them they got a little more fishing in. Papoo was determined to have Wyatt catch a fish! This time he let him use his rod.
They got a bite but it got away again!
They got a second bite and Wyatt reeled it in:
His FIRST fish! We couldn't quite tell who was happier - Papoo or Wyatt!
